This past weekend was extra special—it was my son’s very first baseball game! Beyond excited for our game day experience! From early morning team photos to cheering from the sidelines in the afternoon sun, here’s the exact outfit I wore and loved.
The weather started out on the cool side, so I layered up with this Game Day crew neck from Target . It’s super soft, easy to throw on. I debated on this royal blue hoodie from Walmart but went for the neutral color instead.
I paired it with the Nike Dri-FIT Ultra High-Waisted Shorts. They’re lined, flattering, and stayed put through all the walking, sitting, and hill-running (thanks to the boys burning energy before the game started). I have these in multiple colors.
The real MVPs of the day? My New Balance sneakers and a classic Polo Ralph Lauren Royal blue hat. The hat was crucial for shielding me from the sun once the heat hit mid-afternoon, and the sneakers kept me comfortable chasing after toddlers and navigating the field. It took me a while to pull the plug on the trendy new balance sneakers as a mom, but so happy I did!
Accessories-wise, I went functional but cute. I love this trusty Lands’ End canvas tote I was able to pack with snacks, sunscreen, and extra layers. I can wear it as a crossbody too. I added some personality with these retro-inspired tube socks and dainty silver huggie hoops from a three-pack I’m loving lately.
Finally, a pair of chic black sunglasses pulled it all together. Simple, sporty, and practical for a full day outdoors.
This look was such a win—easy to move in, layered for unpredictable spring weather, and just the right amount of style for those inevitable candid sideline pics. If you’re headed to your kiddo’s next baseball game, this outfit combo checks all the boxes.
